Grow your business online

Businesses in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Bexley can participate in a service delivered by South East Enterprise, providing FREE help to businesses to develop their online presence.

This will enable Greenwich and Bexley businesses to improve their digital skills and build online communities to sell to. The programme has been successfully running in Greenwich since 2014 and has helped hundreds of businesses to grow. The programme has many features to help local businesses get to the next level of online trading. For those businesses new to e-business the programme still covers the basics to help you grow online.

What help can I get?

Funded by Local London with Greenwich and Bexley, the programme consists of one-to-one sessions with an expert business adviser as well as workshops and webinars covering a range of topics including, social media marketing, web site building, creating a digital marketing plan, video, e-commerce, SEO, e-accounting, cyber security and much more.

Though many businesses in the UK are now developing digital capability, there is still a significant minority which have low digital capability and digital skills.

Those small businesses which do use digital technologies have experienced multiple benefits including time and cost savings and more efficient business processes as well as an improvement in customer satisfaction ratings.  These benefits have also contributed to an increase in turnover and are helping businesses to enhance their performance and competitiveness.

This free programme has been a huge benefit to businesses in Greenwich. Adopting these new practices is a good way for businesses in Greenwich and Bexley to develop new markets and improve their resilience.

The main objective of the new E-Business Programme is to enable local SMEs to improve their digital knowledge and skills and their application of ‘digital business tools’ to support business growth and job creation. This will in turn contribute to the strengthening of the local economy in both boroughs.

Based at the Engine House in Erith, and the Royal Arsenal Gatehouse in Woolwich, South East Enterprise will achieve this objective by implementing a comprehensive programme which combines demand-led specialist E-Business support and group activities which responds to the needs of individual businesses.
